Anti-Alpha-Actinin
Actinins are actin-binding proteins of 100 kD. Alpha-Actinin is a F-actin cross-linking protein thought to anchor actin to a variety of intracellular structures. Alpha-Actinin is found in stress fibers and adhesion plaques in non-muscle cells and in Z-discs and their homologues in muscle cells. Anti-Alpha-Actinin may stain erythrocyte membranes, and reacts with characteristic particulates in congenital nemaline myopathy.
