Anti-CD146
CD146 (cluster of differentiation 146) ?is a 113kDa cell adhesion molecule encoded by the MCAM gene, it is also known as the melanoma cell adhesion molecule (MCAM) or cell surface glycoprotein MUC18 and it is used as a marker for endothelial cell lineage. In humans, the CD146 protein labels endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells, intermediate trophoblast, subpopulation of T cells and peripheral neuronal cells. ?CD146 is expressed on tumor cells derived from peripheral nervous system, melanoma and clear cell sarcoma. CD146 has been used a marker for intermediate trophoblast. It has been reported that CD146 is useful in differentiation of mesothelioma (CD146 positive) and reactive mesothelium (CD146 negative). CD146 is associated with tumor progression and the development of metastasis in human malignant melanoma
