Anti-CK7/18

SKU: AMD52GP Categories: , , Tag:

CK7/18, composed of low molecular weight cytokeratins CK7 and CK18, is typically found in the luminal cells of the normal breast. When combined with p63 and CK5/14 markers, CK7/18 helps differentiate non-invasive from invasive breast lesions and characterizes epithelial proliferations. It aids in distinguishing various breast lesions by identifying basal marker expression in usual ductal hyperplasia (UDH), whereas atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH) and low-grade ductal carcinoma in situ (LGDCIS) are typically basal marker-negative. The p63/CK7/18/CK5/14 cocktail stain is valuable for diagnosing breast pathology and assessing invasion, especially in cases of small invasion foci and epithelial proliferations.
