Anti-HLA Class 1 ABC
HLA Class-1 ABC (MHC1) antigens are intrinsic polymorphic membrane glycoproteins encoded by genes located on the short arm of chromosome 6. HLA-A, HLA-B and HLA-C molecules are heterodimers composed of heavy (alpha) chain (44 kDa) and β2-microglobulin light (beta) chain (12 kDa). They play a crucial role in immune system by presenting foreign antigens to cytotoxic T cells for immune recognition. These glycoproteins are expressed on all nucleated cells.
