Anti- Interleukin 6, Clone 10C12
IL-6 is responsible for stimulating acute phase protein synthesis and also the production of neutrophils in the bone marrow. It supports the growth of B cells and is an antagonistic to regulatory T cells. IL-6 is a pro-inflammatory cytokine. Interleukin (IL)-6 is produced at the site of inflammation and plays a key role in the acute phase response. Il-6 is a Prognostic marker in renal cancer. This gene encodes a cytokine that functions in inflammation and the maturation of B cells.
